Because they are also strong-willed, they can be challenging to train, but they learn quickly and respond well to positive reinforcement. In spite of their small stature, it is very important to train your Chihuahua precisely because they are strong-willed.

3. If you treat your Chihuahua differently than you would a larger dog, you could be facilitating behavior problems.

Allowing your pup to be your “pack leader” can cause him to develop behavior issues, such as jealousy and aggression with other dogs (and sometimes humans) and can make him become suspicious of people other than his owner.
